This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Philadelphia follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Lived in Jogja, Indonesia for a year a decade ago. This is the best Indonesian food I’ve had in the U.S. many veggie based options (eggplant, tofu, jackfruit) but unsure if the sauces they’re in are vegetarian/vegan since I didn’t ask. Huge serving size. Great deal. Will be back! Note: this is the third or fourth time I’ve stopped during β€œopen hours” and the first time they’ve been open so the earlier the better I think. Plenty of other options nearby if they’re closed and worth the shot!

Amazing food for the value. You are able to get a huge tray of food for about 10 dollars per person. Great for vegetarians and vegans, they have tofu and tempeh dishes as well as vegetable mains so you won't be left out creating a plate. The eggplant dish is especially good. Ask for sambal, it's really spicy and flavorful and just makes the experience complete. However it's not automatically added (probably because not everyone can handle spice) so make sure to request it. The place is a bit of a hole in the wall and is really designed more for take out than eat in so keep that in mind.

It was hard to tell what the food was. When I asked the lady just pointed to each and said exactly what the protein was (β€œbeef, chicken, jackfruit, eggplant, etc). I asked for rendang beef and the chicken. Chicken turned out to be some mild curry. Food was tasty, the portions were a good amount, and it was a good price at $9 for 2 sides over rice.

This is one of the best Indonesian spots in Philly with a good deal on either a $11 3 item meal over rice or $9 for 2 items. Small space so best for take out and cash only. I asked if they had menu online but was told no cos they have possible different rotations daily lol. I forget what the first item was but was good mix of veggies, kale was good the spicy beef stew not spicy but good broth. Good to stop in when not able to get hardena lol but still good and nice staff. One of best deals in city!
